Identify your stressors and then neutralise them

Mental Health

Mental health problems range from the everyday worries that we all experience as part of our day-to-day life to serious long-term conditions which may need medical referral.

The vast majority of people who experience mental health problems can recover from them or learn to live with them, especially if they get help early on.

Mental health issues are very common – 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem in any given week. Complementary and alternative therapies such as the ones offered at the Yorkshire Wellness Centre can be beneficial in helping you to cope with every day strains and stresses and with specific mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, low self-esteem and depression. Our therapies can also help to prevent serious mental health issues from developing.

Our integrative therapy sessions will identify your stressors and then neutralise them by reprogramming your perception and the way in which you choose to react to them.

The Spa also offers a range of relaxation treatments to de-stress and relax your mind and body by activating your parasympathetic nervous system – your rest and digest state of being.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Self-confidence / low self-esteem

I sought Alan’s help in advance of my only child’s wedding at which I was not only having the honour of walking her up the aisle but was also to give a speech at the wedding breakfast.

Anxious to make my daughter proud and not turn into a blubbering mess, I met with Alan on four occasions and can honestly say that the changes in me were evident not just to me but to others even after the very first session.

Alan helped to develop in me a calmness and a quiet confidence that I had never possessed before. His belief in me and his promise that he could help me to “change my mind” helped to ensure that the weeks before my daughter’s wedding were some of the happiest times I have ever had.

The wedding day itself was perfect and I walked tall and proud as I escorted my daughter up the aisle. My speech at the wedding breakfast was rewarded with a standing ovation and it was only afterwards when speaking to guests that I realised that I was one of only a handful of people who didn’t shed tears as my speech was delivered.

I will never be able to thank Alan enough for what he did. All 89 guests were in total agreement that what he did was nothing short of a miracle…
